MORFOLOGIA

Portamento e dimensioni: erbacea perenne, alta 20-70 cm.

Fusto: fusti ascendenti, getti sempre fertili.

Foglie: foglie larghe 2 mm a lamina molle, patenti.

Fiori: l’infiorescenza è un racemo di racemi di spighette (pannocchia) molto distanziate, rami scabri. Fiorisce da aprile a ottobre.

Frutti e semi: i frutti sono cariossidi.

DISTRIBUZIONE E HABITAT

Presente in tutta Italia nei boschi, da 0 a 1.800 m con punte a 2.500 m.

Flowers: The inflorescence is a raceme of widely spaced spikelet racemes (panicle), with rough branches. Blooms from April to October.

Fruits and seeds: The fruits are caryopses.

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT

Present throughout Italy in forests, from 0 to 1,800 m with peaks at 2,500 m.
