MORPHOLOGY
Habit and Size: Perennial herbaceous plant, typically 50-120 cm tall.
Stem: Erect, cylindrical, glabrous or slightly pubescent, branched only in the upper part.
Leaves: Elliptic-lanceolate leaves (2-3 x 6-10 cm), irregularly dentate, sparsely pubescent.
Flowers: Gibbous sepals, yellow-greenish, about 4.5 mm; 4 yellow spatulate petals, 6-8 mm long. Blooms from April to July.
Fruits and Seeds: The fruit is a siliqua on a 1 cm arcuate peduncle, erect, 4-5 cm long and about 1 mm wide.
DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT
Common in northern Italy in fallow lands and ruins, from 900 to 2,000 meters, with occurrences above 2,000 meters.
