MORPHOLOGY
Habit and Size: Perennial aquatic herb, ranging from 20 to 150 cm in height.
Stem: Robust stem.
Leaves: Capillary leaves, with divergent lobes.
Flowers: Flowers with actinomorphic pentamerous dialypetalous perianth, white petals, pubescent receptacle. Blooms from March to August.
Fruits and Seeds: The fruits are pubescent achenes before maturation.
DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT
Present throughout Italy in lakes, rivers, and watercourses, from sea level up to 1,800 m.
